75-year-old woman facing impaired charge after car rolls on Acton street

Halton Hills resident also charged with dangerous driving following Monday afternoon crash

A 75-year-old Halton Hills resident has been charged with impaired driving after a single-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in Acton.

A 75-year-old woman has been charged with impaired driving and more after a car flipped on its side across an Acton street Monday afternoon.

Around 4:15 p.m. Oct. 7, Halton Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Tanners Drive near Sprowl Street after a vehicle was reportedly seen driving in an erratic manner. Police say it's believed the car hit a tree and rolled on its side.

Halton Paramedics and the Halton Hills Fire Department also responded. No injuries were reported.

As a result of its investigation, police charged a 75-year-old Halton Hills resident with impaired, blood alcohol concentration 80 mg or more, within two hours and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

Halton Regional Police no longer name individuals facing impaired charges.
