Halton Regional Police have laid several charges following yesterday's robbery at Georgetown Pharmacy.

Police say four males entered the pharmacy in downtown Georgetown yesterday afternoon (Jan. 25) and assaulted staff and customers before stealing a quantity of pharmaceutical drugs.

When asked for further clarification as no physical injuries were reported, police told HaltonHillsToday that a witness was pushed as part of the robbery, but "this did not result in a physical injury."

Police say the group then attempted to flee the scene in a stolen vehicle, but crashed a short distance away. They were not injured and then fled on foot before being located and arrested.

Police have charged one adult and three youths with robbery, wear disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence, and possession of property obtained by crime. Police say they're not providing further details at this time about the ages of those charged or where they're from.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact police at 905-825-4747, ext. 2416.
