Copper line wire worth thousands stolen near Acton

Copper line wire continues to be a sought-after commodity among local thieves.

The latest such incident took place between Acton and Rockwood earlier this week.

According to Halton Police media relations officer Jeff Dillon, unknown suspects made off with 50 metres of Bell copper wire overnight Feb. 10-11 in the area of Fifth Line Nassagaweya and Hwy. 7.

The stolen property is valued at over $5,000. 

No suspect description is available and the investigation continues.
