Employee threatened, transport truck stolen from Georgetown business

A transport truck and trailer were stolen from a Georgetown trucking yard early Tuesday morning.

Halton Regional Police are investigating the theft of a transport truck and trailer in Georgetown.

Police say around 3:45 a.m. Tuesday, a male suspect entered a commercial trucking yard on Todd Road in Georgetown.

According to police, he confronted an employee, threatened him and demanded the keys to a transport truck. The keys were turned over and the truck and trailer were stolen. 

The contents of the trailer are not yet known. The transport truck and trailer are valued at approximately $60,000. 

The suspect is described as male, approximately 6-foot-1, wearing dark coloured clothing and a face covering.
