Looks like copper wire thieves strike again near Acton, but leave empty-handed

Halton Regional Police are investigating after approximately 200 metres of Bell Canada cable was cut in rural Acton.

Police say sometime overnight Friday (Nov. 14) into Saturday (Nov. 15), the length of cable was cut in the area of Hwy. 7 and Crewsons Line, but was left at the scene. 

The damage is estimated at more than $5,000. 

There are no suspect descriptions available and the investigation is ongoing.
