Two people are facing multiple drug trafficking charges following a local traffic stop early Thursday morning.
Police say Halton officers pulled over a vehicle around 3:20 a.m. (Nov. 14) in the area of Mountainview Road South and Argyll Road in Georgetown. As a result of their investigation, the two occupants of the vehicle were charged with multiple drug trafficking offences.
A 30-year-old male from Mississauga and a 27-year-old female from Toronto are each charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine), possession for the purpose of trafficking (heroin) and possession for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine).
The accused male was also charged with fail to comply - being on a release order. He was held for bail. The accused female was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
