Acton Foodshare is busy restocking its shelves, thanks to the contributions of local residents during its Stuff a Bus food drive.
The event held at No Frills yesterday (Sept. 7) brought in 2,458 pounds of non-perishables for the local food bank.
Acton Foodshare chair Mike Albano extended his gratitude to the community, along with Luciano, Sarah and staff at No Frills for supporting the food drive.
The donations will help the food bank keep up with the increasing demand it has experienced since the pandemic.
For those who couldn’t make it yesterday, Acton Foodshare has ongoing donation bins at No Frills, Sobeys, Giant Tiger and Bethel Christian Reformed Church.
The food bank can also use donations of cash or grocery store gift cards to buy meat, fruit or any other items in short supply. You can e-transfer donations to [email protected].
