After multiple collisions, Halton Hills man charged with impaired, fail to remain

Police say driver collided with two vehicles, fled before hitting guardrail

A Halton Hills man is facing several charges including impaired driving and failing to stop at the scene of an accident after being involved in two collisions Sunday (Sept. 1) evening.

Halton Police responded to a two-vehicle collision shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday. Police say a vehicle was observed driving westbound on Steeles Avenue in a dangerous manner. It collided with the rear of another vehicle in the area of Steeles and Tenth Line. 

According to police, the vehicle then left the scene before crashing into a guardrail at Ninth Line and Steeles.

No injuries were reported in the collisions.

As a result of its investigation, Halton Police charged a 31-year-old Halton HIlls resident with operation while impaired, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and fail to stop after an accident.

Halton Regional Police no longer name individuals facing impaired charges.
