Complaint in Georgetown on long weekend leads to impaired charges

Police have charged a Halton Hills man with impaired following an early-morning traffic stop over the long weekend.

In response to a citizen complaint, Halton Police pulled the vehicle over in the area of Maple Avenue and Mountainview Road in Georgetown shortly after 4 a.m. Sunday (Sept. 1).

As a result of its investigation, police charged a 41-year-old Halton Hills resident with impaired operation and blood alcohol concentration 80 mg or more, within two hours.

Halton Regional Police no longer name individuals facing impaired charges.
