The craft beverage festival that supports local charities drew quite the crowd to Trafalgar Sports Park on a sunny Saturday

Thousands flocked to the eighth annual Head for the Hills Craft Beverage Festival Saturday (Sept. 14) at Trafalgar Sports Park.

The day featured craft beers, seltzers and ciders as well as food trucks, vendors and games. Live entertainment included the Mountain Lion Trappers, Georgetown’s own Erica Knox and the tribute band Killer Whale Tank from Milton.

The Rotary, Lions, Kiwanis and Kinsmen clubs of Georgetown and the Optimist Club of Halton Hills organize the entirely volunteer-run, one-day event that benefits local charities.

Over the festival’s history, more than $500,000 has been raised for use in the community. This year's featured charities are Food4Kids North Halton, Cancer Assistance Halton Hills, the Townsend Smith Foundation and Community Alliance Reaching Everyone (C.A.R.E.).
