Halton Police say a purse with contents worth $36,000 was stolen from a shopper at Toronto Premium Outlets.

Halton Regional Police are investigating after a purse with contents worth $36,000 was stolen from a shopper at a local mall.

Police say at approximately 2:45 p.m. Monday, an unknown suspect took the purse when it was left unattended at the Toronto Premium Outlets at Steeles Avenue and Trafalgar Road. The purse contained cash and jewelry that the victim estimated to be worth $36,000.

No suspect description is currently available and no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
