Halton Police lay impaired charges after man drives into ditch

Single-vehicle incident occurred in Steeles Avenue area

Halton Police have charged a Brampton man with impaired driving following a single-vehicle crash Sunday morning.

On Oct. 20 around 7:15 a.m., officers responded to the call in the Steeles Avenue area near the Halton Hills/Milton border. Police say a vehicle had driven into a ditch. No injuries were reported.

As a result of its investigation, police charged a 22-year-old Brampton resident with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80 mg or more, within two hours.

Halton Regional Police no longer name individuals facing impaired charges.
