Over $5K in copper cable cut, stolen from Bell lines near Silvercreek

Halton Police are investigating after approximately 100 metres in copper cable was cut and stolen from local Bell Canada lines.

Police say sometime between 3 p.m. Oct. 21 and 8 a.m. Oct. 22, the copper cable belonging to Bell was cut from the line and taken in the area of Trafalgar Road and 27 Sideroad near Silvercreek.

The cable is valued at more than $5,000. 

No suspect descriptions are currently available and no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
