An Oakville man has been arrested after a 12-year-old Guelph girl reported they repeatedly met for sex.

Approximately 4:20 a.m. Monday, Guelph Police were called to a north end motel when a man reported his daughter was missing from her bedroom and tracked her phone to the motel. A 29-year-old Oakville man was arrested after officers located him in a room with the child.

Investigation revealed they had met four previous times after they began chatting online in early June.

The Oakville man is charged with five counts each of sexual assault, sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching and a single count of luring a person under 14.
