Three men charged following raid on suspected chop shop in Milton

A dozen stolen vehicles recovered by Halton police

Three men face charges in connection with last week’s discovery of a suspected chop shop in Milton.

On July 11, officers with Halton police’s organized crime unit identified a recently stolen vehicle from Peel at an address in the Lower Base Line and Trafalgar Road area.

Investigators subsequently executed a search warrant and recovered a dozen stolen vehicles in various stages of being disassembled. Three men were found at the site and arrested for their alleged involvement in the operation. 

A 25-year-old man from Brampton, 26-year-old man from Mississauga and 24-year-old man from Grimsby have each been charged with 12 counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 -- trafficking.

All three males have since been released on bail with an upcoming court date scheduled for August 26 in Milton Court.

Khan had also been subject to a prior release order at the time of his arrest for similar offences.

The charges have not been tested in court.
