Halton Police have charged a woman with impaired driving and leaving the scene of an accident over the weekend in Halton Hills.
Police say around 2 a.m. Saturday, they received a call from a driver who reported being struck by another vehicle while heading northbound on Trafalgar Road. According to police, the other driver did not stop and continued northbound.
The vehicle was later located after driving into a ditch in the area of Trafalgar Road and Steeles Avenue.
Following a police investigation, a 49-year-old woman from Cambridge has been charged with operation while impaired, operation while impaired blood alcohol concentration and failure to stop after accident.
Halton Regional Police no longer name individuals facing impaired charges.
